Because Osram 660nm and 730nm has the better performance than other brands, and Osram IR 730nm is more strong to help for plants flowering.
Why we need switches to control?
Different grow stage need the different spectrum, only when we use RED, IR and UV at a certain time can help tp increase the THC content and higher yield.
If no switch, from the beginning to the end the RED, UV, IR is always on, this will be a negative effect to plants.
